At least three women contacted the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department in Wisconsin alleging physical abuse from Packers running back Josh Jacobs following the May 23 incident with his then-girlfriend that led to his arrest three days later, according to a redacted report from the department.

NBC 26 in Green Bay first reported the new developments.

Hobart-Lawrence police responded to a “disturbance complaint” involving the 28-year-old Jacobs on May 23 in which he allegedly threw the woman to the ground and caused an injury.

Police arrested him on May 26 on three domestic abuse charges, strangulation and suffocation and intimidation of a victim, according to a statement.

He ultimately pleaded no contest to one misdemeanor count of battery and one misdemeanor count of criminal damage to property on Sept. 10.

One of the women now coming forward told police of an alleged incident in January 2022, telling police it was similar to her experiences and she wanted the police to believe the accuser, per News 26.

She reportedly alleged that Jacobs slapped her across the face, threw her onto a bed and later the floor, grabbed her by the throat and spit on her, also purportedly taking her cell phone.

Jacobs allegedly became angry after the woman did not want to have sex with him and told her not to disrespect him after he slapped her and also said “I should kill you right now,” according to the Associated Press.

The woman, who said she met Jacobs through Instagram for roughly six months prior to meeting, initially did not want to report him and continued talking to him, according to News 26.

Another female alleged to police that Jacobs grabbed her arms and biceps and pushed her against a wall while also throwing her stuff outside in April 2021.

The two purportedly had sex, during which Jacobs’ condom broke, and she allegedly told him he needed to get tested for sexually transmitted diseases, per the AP.

She claimed Jacobs’ actions resulted in bruising, pain and swelling near her ribs, per News 26.

The woman alleges to have called police at the time but was told it was not being treated as a domestic violence case since they were not a couple.

Hobart-Lawrence’s released file stated they received those police calls but the officers said they did not notice any physical marks “consistent with a physical altercation,” according to News 26.

Those records indicated responding officers observed no visible signs of injury, bruising, or damage consistent with a physical altercation.

A third woman alleged to the Hobart-Lawrence police that Jacobs placed his hands on her head and neck area, dragged her, scratched her and also took her cell phone in May 2022.

Jacobs had flown the woman to his place after meeting her via social media, according to ESPN.

She claimed to have suffered bruising to her arm and scratches to her chest that remained visible for a month, but did not seek treatment or inform police at the time.

The woman alleged that Jacobs told her she could be deported if she did so, leading to her opting against reporting him, according to News 26.

This third woman’s case reportedly was relayed by the woman attacked in May.

The NFL is still investigating the matter, according to ESPN, although he has now played two games for the Packers.

Jacobs opened the season on the commissioner’s exempt list and the Packers activated him for their Week 7 road loss to the Lions.

“I can’t get into a lot of things, like specifics of things, but obviously I’m remorseful and sorry for putting this team in this situation,” Jacobs said at the time, per The Athletic.

“Sometimes when you go through life, situations occur, and a four-second, three-second decision can alter your life, honestly.”

It didn’t take long for Jacobs to create controversy with the running back putting his hands behind his back after scoring one of his two touchdown in Thursday’s home win over the Panthers.

While some speculated whether the action mimicked a handcuffed motion in reference to his arrest, he claimed that it was actually a nod to a gospel song called “Break Every Chain.”

“The guys did it with me,” Jacobs said after the 27-19 win. “I didn’t think it was going to be a thing that can be perceived a certain type of way. But it’s 2026, and it is what it is.”
