The Pima County Sheriff’s Department in Arizona gave a major update on its investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.

“The Nancy Guthrie Task Force continues to work with our labs in hopes of furthering our DNA analysis in this investigation,” Sheriff Chris Nanos said in a statement posted on X Friday night.

“Earlier this month, investigators traveled to Florida to meet with lab scientists to see what more could be done to advance this case,” Nanos added.

“A number of ideas were discussed, and we continue to work with all our partners to solve this case.”

The sheriff concluded his statement by encouraging the public to assist in the case by sending in tips.

“No tip is too small. Even the smallest piece of information could be critical to this investigation,” he stated.

Last month, Pima County investigators said they were looking into a discovery of a “new possible ransom note” connected to Savannah Guthrie’s mom’s disappearance.

“The PCSD/FBI Guthrie Task Force was recently made aware of a new possible ransom note related to the Nancy Guthrie investigation,” the sheriff’s department wrote in a statement on X on Sept. 28.

“Investigators are also aware of social media comments regarding the note and are looking further into the information to determine its credibility,” the statement added.

However, the following day, authorities released a follow-up statement, saying the “possible ransom text message” related to the case was “not credible.”

Nancy, 84, was first reported missing from her Tucson, Arizona, home on Feb. 1.

Shortly after, the FBI released terrifying home security camera photos of an armed and masked person outside of Nancy’s door the night she disappeared.

In June, a former FBI agent claimed investigators were closing in on the man seen on Nancy’s door camera.

However, no suspects have been arrested for Nancy’s kidnapping — despite multiple ransom notes being received.

Despite her mom remaining missing, Savannah, 54, returned to work at “Today” in April.
