The Knicks aren’t the only ones putting on a show this postseason.
As New York’s NBA Finals run turns Madison Square Garden into a celebrit hotspot, the courtside style has become nearly as watched as the action on the court. With the Knicks now leading the San Antonio Spurs 3-1 after a nail-biting Game 4 win at the Garden, celebrity fans have been leaning into team spirit with merch that goes well beyond the standard blue-and-orange jersey.
On Wednesday night, Taylor Swift arrived in a custom “Stevie Knicks” tee, a punny playoff staple reportedly made by Este and Alana Haim, who wore their own versions reading “Knickelback” and “Knickole Kidman.” Elsewhere in the stands, Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet continued their Chrome Hearts streak, while Ben Stiller’s Knicks-themed Air Force 1s and Jordyn Woods’ orange ostrich purse have become their own unofficial good-luck charms.
While custom Nikes or Timberlands may be harder to come by, there are still plenty of stylish ways to show off your Knicks pride through the Finals. Major sportswear retailers such as Mitchell & Ness, ’47 and Homage have rolled out dozens of celebratory apparel pieces, but some of the best Knicks merch is fan-made.
Baseball hats, tees and mugs are splashed with the now-viral chant, “My mayor Muslim, my bagel Jewish, my Christian Dior, my Knicks in 4.” Others feature photos of star players such as Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby, or pull from iconic Knicks moments across film and TV. Our favorite is a shirt printed with George Costanza watching a game shirtless in Knicks shorts.
