Trump's White House Changes

Under a series of physical changes implemented by President Trump since returning to office, the UFC event and its associated infrastructure form part of a broader reshaping of the White House grounds, including the demolition of the East Wing to make way for a ballroom, alterations to the Rose Garden, and a proposal for a large arch along the Potomac River.

The construction of the White House ballroom is seen from the top of the Washington Monument on May 28, 2026 in Washington, D.C. Fighter Sean Strickland was also removed by authorities during a separate fan event linked to the weekend.

One of the most widely discussed incidents came after heavyweight fighter Josh Hokit’s win, when he used his post-fight interview to praise Trump before making a false and offensive claim about former First Lady Michelle Obama, saying, “Michelle Obama is a man, am I right, America?”

UFC Freedom 250 averaged 7 million viewers in the United States and reached a combined audience of 17 million across the U.S. and Latin America, including partial viewership, according to Paramount+ data reported by Reuters.
