Snap judgement on Crocs

Designer Michael Kors swears he wouldn’t weep if his husband, Lance Le Pere, sauntered into their apartment clad in Crocs. “No, I think he could wear anything. He could pull off anything,” he said lovingly at the God’s Love We Deliver’s 20th Annual Golden Heart Awards.

“I think if I was wearing Crocs, I think the world would cry. It would not be a good thing.” He was also decidedly diplomatic when we asked who should replace John Galliano as the honoree at next year’s Met Gala. “You know what, every year it’s the party of the year,” Kors gushed, “and I have never been disappointed. I’ve been going since 1982, and I know there’s so many interesting ideas out there. It’s not always a single honoree, so I’m curious and excited to see what Andrew [Bolton, head curator of the Anna Wintour Costume Center] will come up with.”

Kors did swear he’s never nudged his pal, Anna Wintour, with a plea to be honored himself. “No, no. I mean, to be honest, we were very happy last year: Michael Kors [designs], as you walked into the exhibit,” he said. Kors and Wintour were the co-chairs for the God’s Love event, which raises money for New Yorkers too infirm to cook for themselves. The evening raised almost $4 million.

Swag to riches?

Former late-night host Conan O’Brien says he didn’t get any great swag while on late-night TV. “Nothing you’d want to keep,” he told Page Six at the Broadway opening of Billy Crystal’s “860.” “The free stuff you get when you host late night is not stuff you’d want to keep, usually like a new urinal cake with your name on it.” O’Brien, who left late night in 2021, swears he doesn’t miss it at all. “I absolutely loved every second of it, but I’ve been so happy doing all of these other things. Late night keeps you in that seat night after night after night and I got to a certain point where I just wanted to go out and try other things.”

Troye’s grind

TROYE Sivan is trading his usual “Rush” for a coffee buzz. The Australian pop star, best known for hits like “One of Your Girls” and “Youth” is dipping his toe into the hospitality biz — but only for eight days. Alongside his sister, Sage, Sivan has opened the TLY Scent Café on Elizabeth Street, where fans can shop his incense brand, Tsu Lange Yor, while browsing an assortment of pastries and specialty beverages. The pop-up is also serving up a little extra sweetness: Customers receive a complimentary “Rose Cloud Latte” with every purchase. The short-lived coffee shop has already attracted lines of eager customers, proving Sivan’s star power extends well beyond the charts. But locals will be glad to know the caffeine craze is only temporary: The café is sticking around for just eight days. So grab a latte while you can — this encore won’t last long.

A dazzling Diwali

The stars were out in full sparkle. Priyanka Chopra’s manager, Anjula Acharia, gathered some of the biggest names in South Asian entertainment, fashion and business for her annual All That Glitters Diwali Ball at NoMad’s Ambassadors Clubhouse. The invitation-only bash drew a glamorous crowd includingOn the invite list were “The Real Housewives of New York City’s” Jessel Taank, filmmaker (and Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s mom) Mira Nair, entertainment exec Bela Bajaria, singer Jay Sean and designers Falguni and Shane Peacock. Guests arrived in dazzling sarees, elaborate lehengas, and tailored suits to celebrate the Hindu festival of lights. But beneath all the glitz the evening was about celebrating milestones, finding joy, and embracing  the community’s growing cultural influence. Actress and author Sheethal Sheth told us Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights, is about “not just the light in ourselves, but the light in each other.” She told us about a non-South Asian New Yorker wishing her a happy Diwali on her way to the event: “And I thought, ‘Skay, we’re doing something!’” The evening, which benefited South Asian Youth Action, also featured a performance by pop star Rhea Raj.  “The All That Glitters Diwali Ball is my love letter to the South Asian community that is rising, thriving, and helping shape the cultural landscape of New York City,” said Acharia.

Oh, Meg!

Halloween? More like Hello Queen! “Hacks” star and nascent pop icon Meg Stalter stole the show at Grindr’s Pleasure Ball Halloween party. During a show that was part concert, part awkward performance art, the “Oh, Mary!” actress joked that if the sexy app doesn’t work out, she can help. “Now that I’ve found my perfect girlfriend and I’m so in love, I want others to find love — my friends call me Miss Love!” she said. The dating app transformed Manhattan nightclub Musica into an intergalactic playground for its “Future Lovers”-themed costume bash. Fashion designer Christian Siriano, publicist Kelly Cutrone, nightlife icon Susanne Bartsch, artist Joey Arias and Grinder CMO Tristan Pineiro judged an outrageous costume contest hosted by ballroom legend Dashaun Wesley. Anna Delvey, Adam Lambert, “Pose” star Dominique Jackson and writer Camille Sojit Pejcha were all at the soiree, which supported Grindr for Equality, the company’s LGBTQ+ social impact initiative.

Greek chic

Evangelos Marinakis brought a touch of Greek glamour to the city, hosting a star-studded cocktail reception at Coco’s at Colette for leading figures from the Greek diaspora, spanning shipping, Wall Street, business and the art world. The guests headed to Carnegie Hall for a landmark occasion: the Greek National Opera’s debut performance in the United States. The concert was sponsored by Marinakis and drew inspiration from the work of his favorite writer, Nikos Kazantzakis, as the shipping tycoon pursues his ambition to showcase Greek culture on the global stage.

Grandma Gail imparts wisdom Getty Images

Gran ol’ time

Granny draws quite the crowd. “Excuse My Grandma” podcast hosts Kim Murstein and her grandmother Gail packed 92NY Wednesday night for a live show that drew 777 attendees, with lines stretching around the corner. The venue even opened its balcony to accommodate the overflow. The duo, who also write the Post’s “Excuse My Advice” column, were joined by comedian Gabby Bryan, daughter of Bon Jovi founding member David Bryan. But Grandma Gail wasn’t afraid to air some family grievances calling out her granddaughter’s chronic lateness. Gail joked that Kim could start getting ready at 9 and still not be ready by 11. Kim brushed off the criticism, quipping, “watches are accessories, and you know that.”

Killer in-stinks

Helen Mirren plays the acclaimed novelist Patricia Highsmith in “A Talent for Murder” but doesn’t think she would be a particularly successful assassin. “No, I’d be hopeless,” she told Page Six at the New York premiere. “I hate to have to kill anything, especially spiders.” Dame Helen told us she’s the kind of person who takes a glass and sheet of paper to transport the arthropod outside. “I have killed flies sometimes, but I don’t like it.” The “Mobland” star said she’s an avid gardener, albeit not a very good one, “because I don’t like killing things! And there are so many things that want to eat my flowers and plants, but I love it. I often take a gardening book to bed and read about what hydrangeas like.” Mirren agreed that Highsmith, known for her psychological thrillers, five of which featured the character Tom Ripley, was not a nice person. “Very unlikeable,” she shared. “A very damaged person, damaged by her mother, damaged by her ambition and then her sense of disappointment at not being recognized for the great artist she actually was because of the era she was born in, so definitely damaged by her sexuality, damaged by her passion and love.”

Belles of Le Bal

Muffie Potter Aston’s daughters will be making their debut alongside Warren Beatty and Annette Benning’s daughter, Ella Beatty,  at Paris’s Le Ball, on Nov 28, we’re told. Twins Bracie and Ashleigh Aston, daughters of Potter Aston and celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Sherrell Aston, will wear custom Jean Paul Gaultier gowns for the occasion. The annual invitation-only affair founded by Ophélie Renouard in 1994 will see 20 young women escorted by their cavaliers at the Shangri-La Hotel in front of European royalty, diplomats, and VIPs. Bracie has already made moves in the fashion world, launching her own capsule collection of dresses with designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka. The glamorous Le Ball has hosted a slew of celebrity offspring in the past, such as Apple Martin, the daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, Kitty Spencer, the niece of Princess Diana, Clint Eastwood’s daughter Francesca Eastwood, Sylvester Stallone’s daughter Sophia-Rose Stallone, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’ daughters Scout and Tallulah Willis, Anna Wintour’s daughter Bee Shaffer.
