Green Bay Packers star edge-rusher Micah Parsons unexpectedly found himself at the center of controversy on Monday.

The official NFL X account posted a video with the caption: “NFL Top 100 Players of 2026… coming soon. 👀” that got Parsons in trouble with the Packers fan base.

Some of the answers given named Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, Los Angeles Rams defensive end Myles Garrett, Rams QB Matthew Stafford, Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson, Seattle Seahawks receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and San Francisco 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey.

But Parsons’ reply is what got Packers fans riled up.

“Yeah, iceman,” Parson said, referring to Caleb Williams, QB of the division rival Chicago Bears.

The only problem is fans don’t truly know if “Who do you think will be No. 1 on the list this year?” is really the question Parsons was answering — and the Pro Bowl pass-rusher implied as much on X.

“Clip farming…. ☠️,” Parsons responded in a quote tweet, insinuating the NFL disingenuously used a clip of one of his responses for the video.

If Parsons really did reply that Williams should be the No. 1-ranked player in the NFL, Packers fans — and NFL fans, for that matter — have a real gripe.

Some consider Williams a borderline top-10 QB last season from a statistical standpoint. He ranked seventh in passing yards (3,942), sixth in touchdown passes (27), 22nd in passer rating (90.1), and 34th in completion percentage (58.1).

What makes Parsons declaring Williams the top player in the NFL even more suspicious is the fact that the USC alum played quite pedestrian against Green Bay last year.

Williams completed just 55% of his passes for 436 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception with an 87.7 passer rating in two games. Chicago went 1-1 in those games.
