Rep. Ilhan Omar speaks during a news conference in Minneapolis, Minn., Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026. James Keivom for NY Post

The Issue: Growing evidence that Rep. Ilhan Omar committed immigration fraud with a phony marriage.

If an immigrant breaks the law — whether by overstaying a visa or marrying one’s brother to get him a green card — all are offenses in the United States and should be prosecuted (“Feds ditched bro probe,” Oct. 30).

I don’t care if it’s Rep. Ilhan Omar or anyone else: They should be sent back to their country of origin if they commit immigration fraud or gain citizenship under false pretenses.

We have laws, rules and regulations in this country for a reason and it’s about time we enforce them.

Ilhan Omar is a five-star specimen for a hatchet job by President Trump: She’s a dark-skinned, Muslim female immigrant who’s a Democrat. Poor Omar has a lot going against her in Trump’s world.

It’s time to investigate the immigration history of all congressional office holders who are naturalized citizens. If federal investigators can harass the president for 10 years, then everyone should be subject to investigation. Nobody is above the law.

Don’t invite people into America who hate it. Omar is an antisemite who has contributed nothing to the welfare of the American people. Incredibly, Democrats will still defend her.

The Trump administration has presented me with an ethical dilemma: I’m thrilled that the Justice Department is investigating Omar, but I’m outraged that it’s investigating a candidate immediately before an election.

It looks like the America-hating, devout Muslim married her gay brother so he could live comfortably in the United States. Christmas has come early for me this year.

Should the Omar fiasco really surprise us? The investigations keep coming, from ex-Rep. Eric Swalwell to former FBI chief James Comey and more. If she’s guilty, stop dawdling, show her the door and move on to the rest of the backlog of dirty players.

The Issue: Gov. Hochul deflects questions about future tax increases ahead of Tuesday’s election.

Gov. Hochul never met a tax she didn’t like — until reelection rolls around (“Kat’s Damning Dodge,” Editorial, Oct. 30).

She did this in the 2024 elections with congestion pricing and is doing it again with the slew of tax hikes that Mayor Mamdani is proposing.

I hope New Yorkers are savvy enough not to be fooled again by this political huckster.

Peter Kelly

Hazlet, NJ

If reelected, Hochul will embrace Mamdani’s policies, raise taxes, go soft on crime and create another mass exodus from the state.

How can Hochul talk about affordability when she gives billions of taxpayer dollars to illegal immigrants?

She’s also trying to persuade voters with a one-time $200 utility rebate. My utilities have increased 30% in the last four years. What’s $200 going to do for me?

She also unleashed a $9 congestion toll — which amounts to $45 per week (or $2,340 per year) for commuters — after claiming she cares about the working class.

Not to mention she initially wanted the toll to be $15, then settled on $9 and claimed she was saving commuters $6 a trip.

New Yorkers — for their own good — need to dispose of this lying, failed governor.
