Chipotle is celebrating the start of this summer’s FIFA World Cup soccer tournament with a one-day promotion that could score fans a free meal—if they show up dressed for matchday.
The fast-casual chain announced its first “Matchday BOGO” deal this week, offering a buy-one-get-one-free entrée to customers who wear a soccer jersey to participating locations on June 11. The promotion is timed to coincide with the opening of the global men's soccer tournament and is available at thousands of Chipotle locations across the globe.
Here’s what to know about the offer.

What Is June 11 Chipotle BOGO Deal?
Chipotle’s June 11 promotion allows customers to receive a free entrée when they purchase another entrée of equal or greater value—commonly known as a buy-one-get-one (BOGO) deal. The offer is available only on Thursday, June 11, after 3 p.m. local time and must be redeemed in person at participating restaurants. Customers must wear a soccer jersey to qualify for the deal.
"The Matchday BOGO is today from 3 p.m. to close local time at all Chipotle restaurants in the U.S., Canada, U.K., France and Germany," a Chipotle spokesperson told Newsweek.
There are some limitations: the deal is capped at five free entrées per check and cannot be combined with other offers or used for online or delivery orders.
Who Is Eligible for Chipotle BOGO?
Eligibility is straightforward: Any customer wearing a soccer jersey at participating restaurants can take advantage of the deal.
The promotion is open to all customers visiting participating locations in person, though each free entrée must correspond to a qualifying purchase and be redeemed by the jersey-wearing guest.
What Food Items Are Included?
The deal applies to Chipotle entrées, which typically include menu options such as burritos, bowls, tacos and salads.
Each free item must be paired with the purchase of another entrée of equal or greater value, according to the company’s terms.
Kids’ meals are not eligible for the promotion, and the offer cannot be used with catering, mobile, online or delivery orders, or combined with other discounts.
How to Claim Chipotle Jersey
In addition to the one-day food promotion, Chipotle is releasing a limited-edition soccer jersey tied to the campaign.
Only 53 jerseys will be available, and they are not sold in stores. Instead, Chipotle Rewards members can enter for a chance to win one through the company’s Rewards Exchange program. From June 10 through June 24, members can use rewards points—typically 10 points per entry—to enter the giveaway.
The jersey features the phrase “Real Chipotle” on the front and the number 53 on the back, referencing the brand’s ingredients.
"Every four years, this tournament creates an unmatched sense of excitement, pride and community among fans around the world," Stephanie Perdue, senior vice president of brand marketing at Chipotle, said in a press release. "We wanted to celebrate the rituals that make the experience so memorable, from wearing lucky jerseys to gathering for matchday meals with Chipotle."
