Victor Cruz joked that a New York Knicks championship win would feel equivalent to the life-changing joy of becoming a father.

The New York Giants alum and Knicks superfan made the comparison while reflecting on what an NBA title would mean to him in an exclusive statement to Page Six.

“For me personally, winning in the city is next to my child being born,” he said. “It’s an experience that I’ll never forget, and one that I will cherish for the rest of my life.”

Victor co-parents his 14-year-old daughter, Kennedy Cruz, with his ex-partner Elaina Watley.

The former wide receiver — who helped lead the Giants to defeat the New England Patriots in the 2012 Super Bowl — described the memories from winning a New York championship as “second to none.”

“I know the fans understand that and the players are craving for that feeling to share those memories with their family,” he said.

The football star, 36, said that a Knicks championship in the Big Apple would mean “absolutely everything.”

“A basketball championship in New York would be monumental for the city and bring fans together from all walks of life,” he said.

“Not to mention the maniacal fans of New York City and the way they’ve been craving for a championship for years. It seems like this is our most favorable year to win it as well, and I think everyone can feel that.”

Victor has long been a fan of the Knicks, and has even sat courtside in Madison Square Garden’s celebrity row on several occasions.

The retired athlete was notably spotted at Game Four of the Eastern Conference First Round Playoffs between the Knicks and the Cleveland Cavaliers at Madison Square Garden in April 2023.

In February 2024, he sported a New York Rangers jersey while cheering for the Knicks at their face-off against the Indiana Pacers.

A year later, he attended Game Four for the Knicks vs. the Boston Celtics game at MSG that May.

If the Knicks win the NBA championship this year, it would be the first time in 53 years. Several A-listers reflected on being Knicks superfans in interviews with The Post last week.

“I am so excited for the Knicks having been a fan since the 1970s when I used to go to game after game after game with my friends,” Martha Stewart said. “I got to know Bill Bradley, Walt Frazier, and Patrick Ewing, and when I see them now at a Knicks game it’s so exciting. I’m so proud of the team.”

Susie Essman recalled becoming a fan in 1971 when she was in high school.

“My boyfriend was a fan. He turned me on to basketball and the Knicks, so I got to experience some glory years,” she said. “There were some tough years between now and then, but here we are and it’s glorious once more.”

Emmy Rossum shared that her No. 1 player is Jalen Brunson.

“He’s the pulse of the team,” she said. “Every time I’m there and see him in person, he’s so cool-headed, he’s never in a rush, he’s got an elegance and he always delivers the goods.”

The New York team will play the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night, while Game 5 is scheduled to take place this Saturday.
