Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is off to the best start of her pro career, and everyone is taking notice.

Despite a 90-88 loss to the Golden State Valkyries on Thursday, Clark put forth a memorable performance. The former 24-year-old guard tallied 16 points, six assists, four rebounds, three steals, and a block — and she wrote her name in the WNBA record books in the process.

“1-of-1 🤩📚 Caitlin Clark is the fastest player in WNBA history to record 1,000 points and 500 assists by 23 games,” the Fever posted on X.

“Caitlin Clark through 59 career @WNBA games: ✔️ fastest to 1,000 points & 500 assists ✔️ most 20+ PTS & 10+ AST games ever ✔️ most 25+ PTS & 10+ AST games ever ✔️ most 30+ PTS & 10+ AST games ever,” the team wrote in a follow-up post.

A two-time All-Star, an All-WNBA first team selection, and former Rookie of the Year, Clark already has several other WNBA records under her belt including single-season points by rookie (769), single-season assists (337), single-game assists (19), single-season 3-pointers by a rookie (122), single-game 3-pointers by a rookie (seven), triple-doubles by a rookie (two), and most All-Star fan votes (1,293,526).

Clark also holds several Fever franchise records including single-season points, single-game points (35), single-season 3-pointers, and career double-doubles (14).

The former No. 1 overall pick was limited to just 13 games last year while battling a quad and two separate groin strains. Her durability has been an issue for the Fever this season too, as she’s currently nursing a minor back injury.
