Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow have been universally labeled the NFL's "Big 4" for the past five years.
Burrow, 29, is the only one of those four without an NFL MVP trophy, and he's on a mission to change that next season.
Burrow, the 2020 No. 1 overall pick, appeared on the latest installment of GQ's "10 Essentials" series and, predictably, chose a football as one of his 10 things he can't live without.
"It has brought me many good fortunes in life," Burrow said. "I wouldn't be here talking with you guys without this football. I can throw it very accurately. Kind of far, not as far as most. I usually keep one in the back of my car, just in case."
When asked to name his goals for the 2026 NFL season, he didn't hesitate: "I have all the goals for this season. MVP, Super Bowl, win a lot of games, and have fun."

Burrow led the Bengals to Super Bowl LVI in his second year as the team's QB1, but they lost to the Los Angeles Rams. The Bengals reached the AFC Championship Game the following year, but the Kansas City Chiefs defeated them, and they haven't reached the playoffs since.
Some of the Bengals' misfortune has been because of bizarre, unlucky Burrow injuries, and a large portion can be blamed on one of the league's worst defenses.
Burrow missed seven games in 2023 due to a torn ligament in his throwing wrist that required surgery. He was fully healthy and led the NFL with 4,918 yards and 43 touchdowns in the 2024 season, but the Bengals finished 9-8 and narrowly missed the postseason. Last season, Burrow missed nine games due to severe turf toe for the 6-11 Bengals.
Last December, Burrow raised eyebrows with an extremely vulnerable press conference in which he shared the toll his injury-riddled seasons had on him.
"It certainly doesn't change my desire to win," Burrow said. "If I want to keep doing this, I have to have fun doing it. I've been through a lot, and if it's not fun, then what am I doing it for? So that's the mindset I'm trying to bring to the table."
Burrow seems to be in much better spirits with GQ. Watch the full video below.
